Dudley reaches Saturday’s high jump final
All-American competing at U.S. Olympic Team Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – Middle Tennessee’s Ann Dudley needed only one attempt to advance in the high jump competition at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, Ore., Thursday. The NCAA All-American in the event leapt five feet, 10.5 inches on her first try in the qualifying round to move into Saturday’s finals.
Dudley, a Jacksonville, Fla., native will be one of 13 finalists Saturday. Eight competitors advanced after reaching the six-feet level, while the remaining five posted a mark of 5-10.5. Dudley was one of 11 to accomplish the height on the first try.
