MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's soccer team continues its four-game home stand against Alabama A&M this weekend. The Blue Raiders are 7-0-0 all-time against the Bulldogs as the two teams will face off at 7 p.m. Friday at the Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.
The Blue Raiders currently stand at 1-1 on the year. After blanking Jacksonville State, 2-0, on the road to open the season last Friday, MT took a 1-1 tie into halftime before falling to Ole Miss, 3-1, on Sunday. Senior Paige Goeglein leads the Blue Raiders in scoring having recorded a goal in each of this year's contests, while freshman goalkeeper Kelsey Brouwer recorded a shutout in her first collegiate start.
The Bulldogs enter Friday's game with a 0-2 mark after being shut out by South Carolina State and Kennesaw State last weekend. Alabama A&M gave up a combined 17 goals between the two contests.
This will mark the second year in a row the two teams have met, with MT owning a 5-0 win last year in Murfreesboro. Overall, MT is 5-0 against the Bulldogs at home.
