MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Tori Hawkins, Grace Summers and Katinka Stenberg each scored a pair of goals to lead the onslaught in Middle Tennessee's 10-0 win over Alabama A&M on Friday night at the Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium. Goeglein added her third goal of the season, while Amalie Anderdal, Regina Thomas and Whitney Jorgenson also scored in the contest.

"It was good for us to come back and rebound from a tough game against Ole Miss (last Sunday)," head coach Aston Rhoden said. "It's great to see so many different players scoring goals that are not even forwards. We had midfielder sand even some defenders got into it. It was a good win for us, and now we're going to use this momentum to get ready for Vanderbilt next week."

The offensive attacked started in the eighth minute when Thomas crossed to Goeglein from the near side, and Goeglein buried a shot for the third consecutive match. It opened the floodgates, as MT went on to strike six times in the early frame.

Anderdal capitalized on a set piece in the 18th minute for the 2-0 advantage. She took a free kick near the top of the box and knocked it over the head of Bulldog keeper Marissa Oehler.

Hawkins and Thomas then scored in back-to-back minutes for the 4-0 lead. Jorgensen found Hawkins for her first tally of the season, while Thomas beat her defender and drew Oehler out for her first score.

Summers got in on the action in the 30th minute when she took a slotted pass from Brianna Jasenak and drove it nearly the length of the field, firing off a shot just inside the box. Four minutes later, Summers added her second score, beating Oehler one vs. one to make it a 6-0 lead at halftime.

The Blue Raiders continued the offensive outburst in the second half, going up 7-0 in the 54th minute when Stenberg registered her first goal on another well-executed pass from Jasenak. Stenberg scored again in the 63rd minute, this time taking a short pass from Paige Terlizzi inside the six.

Terlizzi earned her second assist on a pass to Hawkins in the 76th minute, and Jorgenson combined with Hawkins for the final score of the contest with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Jessica Gilchrist picked up the victory in goal in her first start of the season. The MT back line kept the Bulldogs quiet, limiting them to just three shots, with none on frame. The Blue Raiders amassed 36 shots, including 17 on goal. MT also owned an 8-2 corner kick advantage.

MT will be back on the pitch next weekend, hosting Vanderbilt on Friday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the Dean A. Hayes Soccer and Track Stadium.
