MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee soccer team looks to ride the momentum of last Friday's victory into this weekend as the Blue Raiders host the Vanderbilt Commodores Friday and the ETSU Bucs Sunday. Friday's match will kick off at 7 p.m. with face painting and prizes prior to the match as part of MT's Pack the House event.

MT (2-1) is coming off a 10-0 win over Alabama A&M last weekend. Seven different Blue Raiders scored in the contest, led by Tori Hawkins with two goals and an assist. Grace Summers and Katinka Stenberg each had a pair of goals as well, while Paige Goeglein added her team-leading third goal of the season.

The Blue Raiders are seeking their first victory over the Commodores, as Vanderbilt owns a 4-0 lead in the series. The two teams met last year in Nashville with Vandy claiming a 1-0 victory. ETSU holds a 3-2-1 series advantage over MT, but the Blue Raiders are unbeaten against the Bucs in the last three meetings. Prior to a 1-1 tie in 2007, MT won the last two meetings in Murfreesboro, 5-2 in 2005 and 2-1 in 2000.

Vanderbilt (1-1-1) enters Friday's contest on the heels of a 1-1 tie with Oklahoma. The Commodores won their season opener, 2-0, over UT Martin, then fell to No. 4 Oklahoma State, 3-1 last Friday. This will mark the fourth straight road match for Vanderbilt. Cheyna Williams leads the Commodores with a pair of goals this season.

ETSU (4-0) remains undefeated heading into Sunday's contest. The Bucs are coming off a sweep at home last weekend, knocking off Radford, 1-0, and Presbyterian, 3-2, in overtime. Prior to that, ETSU played a pair of road matches at Tennessee Tech and UNC Asheville. The Bucs are led by Ramsey Kerns, already with four goals this season.
