Raiders wrap up second round at Carpet Capital

Final round set for Sunday

DALTON, Ga. - Middle Tennessee shot a disappointing 315 in the second round of the Carpet Capital Intercollegiate on Saturday and fell to 15th place in one of the nation's top tournaments. The Blue Raiders have a 36-hole total of 607.

Texas roared back with a 22-under par 266 to grab the overall lead while Georgia slipped to second. Alabama, LSU, and Clemson are all tied for third.

Sophomore Andrew Cho had the top round of the day for the Blue Raiders with a 77 and is tied for 54 overall.

Payne Denman, who carded a 2-under par 70 in round one, registered an 81 and is tied for 58th, while Brett Patterson tallied a 79 and is tied for 62nd.

Jordan Jennings also had a 79 and is tied for 71st. True freshman Drake Duncan put up an 80 in round two and ism 75th.

The Blue Raiders begin final round action Sunday at 8:12 AM.
