Raiders complete play in Carpet Capital

DALTON, GA - Middle Tennessee wrapped up play on Sunday at the prestigious Carpet Capital Intercollegiate where they came away with a 15th place finish. The Blue Raiders had a 54-hole total of 903 on the par 72, Farm Club Golf Course.

Texas won the event with an 851 followed by Georgia at 856. Alabama was third while Clemson and LSU tied for fourth.

After a tough second round, the Blue Raiders bounced back in the final round to card a 296.

Junior Brett Patterson, playing with a hurt elbow, turned in a 2-under par 70 on Sunday to finish tied for 31st with a 222 total. Patterson had four birdies in his final round.

Sophomore Payne Denman had a 73 on Sunday and tied for 45th with a 224, while Andrew Cho had a 225 cumulative score and tied for 51st.

Junior Jordan Jennings tied for 74th with a 234 and true freshman Drake Duncan tied for 76th.

The Blue Raiders will be back in action Sept. 21-23 at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, TN.
