Brentz, Pawtucket bound for Triple-A National Championship
PawSox won International League crown Thursday
September 14, 2012 · @MTAthleticsFORT MILL, S.C. - Former Blue Raider Bryce Brentz and the Pawtucket Red Sox (Boston Triple-A) won the Governors' Cup for the first time in 28 years on Thursday night. The PawSox defeated the Charlotte Knights, 4-1, to take home the International League crown and earn a spot in the Triple-A National Championship on Tuesday.
Brentz was called up on Aug. 30 from Double-A Portland, where he hit .296 with 17 home runs, 30 doubles and 76 RBI.
