Women's golf heads west for Dale McNamara Invitational
Blue Raiders tee off Monday at 8 a.m.
September 16, 2012 · @MTAthleticsMURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team heads west for its second tournament of the fall, traveling to Tulsa, Okla., for the Dale McNamara Invitational.
The Blue Raiders tee off Monday at 8 a.m. in the 54-hole tournament at the 72-par, 6,282-yard Golf Club of Oklahoma. This year's field features a pair of teams ranked in the top 25 and five in the top 50. Along with MT, No. 4 Arizona State, UALR, Augusta State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Marshall, No. 21 Oklahoma State, SMU, UTSA and host Tulsa comprise the field.
Last season, MT finished ninth at the Dale McNamara Invitational. Ashley Haggard led the team with a two-over 74 to tie for 26th.
MT is coming off a second-place finish at the Chris Banister Classic in the opening tournament of the season two weeks ago. The Blue Raiders combined for a team score of 903 (+39), with Ashley Haggard's 221 pacing MT. Haggard (+5) finished two strokes behind the leaders after carding a 73 on the final day.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday with a shotgun start each day. For live scoring, visit Golfstat.com.
