Women's golf wraps up play at Dale McNamara Invitational
Blue Raiders move up a spot to finish 13th
September 18, 2012 · @MTAthleticsBROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team moved up a spot on the final day to finish 13th at the Dale McNamara Invitational at the Golf Club of Oklahoma on Tuesday.
The Blue Raiders registered their best team score in the final round, carding a 309 to finish with a score of 932 (+68). Arizona State took home top team honors, leading throughout the tournament before finishing with an 866 (+2). Florida (869, +5) and Oklahoma State (875, +11) rounded out the top three.
Ashley Haggard led MT with a two-day total of 228 (+12) to finish tied for 35th. Allie Knight recorded a 231 (+15) to tie for 47th, while Emily Miller finished two strokes behind Knight with a 233 in 54th. Emily Williams totaled a 240 in 68th and Natalie Chrisopulos turned in a 254 in 74th.
Florida's Isabelle Lendl took home medalist honors at six-under par with a 210 and Arizona State's DAni Ordonex finished second at 213.
The Blue Raiders continue fall action next week, traveling to Lawrence, Kan., for the Marilyn Smith Sunflower Invitational. The tournament begins Monday with 36 holes and the final 18 holes will be Tuesday.
