MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee men's tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame announced on day the addition of David Fox for the 2013 spring season. Fox, from Chipstead, Surrey, United Kingdom, has been ranked as high as No. 229 in the International Tennis Federation junior rankings.

"David is feisty, fast, mentally tough and competes non-stop," said Borendame about Fox. "To beat him, you have got to be ready for a dogfight. Fox also plays solid doubles and I can see him playing both singles and doubles as a freshman. I can't wait to have him competing for the Blue Raiders this spring."

In April, Fox reached the final of the AEGON Junior International event in Nottingham, England. Fox also reached the semifinals in the doubles draw at the NWU-PUKKE/RVTA Junior ITF event in South Africa this March. He has also been a doubles finalist at the French ITF event. Fox trains at the Bath Tennis Academy in Bath, England and is coached by Jim Edgar. He has been a top-10 ranked juniors player in England has wins over players ranked in the ITF top-150.

"With Fox and Victor Cornea coming this spring, this is the best recruiting class we have brought in and we're not done yet," Borendame added. "Hats off to assistant coach Tanner Stump for all his hard work helping us land these two recruits as we continue to bring in stronger players and grow the Middle Tennessee tennis program."
