Alysha Clark and Seattle Storm open WNBA Playoffs on Friday
MT alum to gain playoff experience during rookie season

Middle Tennessee women's basketball All-American Alysha Clark and the Seattle Storm are gearing up for the WNBA Playoffs.
Clark and the Storm face the regular season league champion Minnesota Lynx in a best-of-three series beginning Friday, Sept. 28 in Minneapolis. Seattle returns home to Key Arena for a matchup on Sept. 30 before an 'if necessary game' on Tuesday, Oct. 2 in Minnesota.
Friday's game is set for an 8pm CT tip and airs nationally on ESPN2. Sunday's contest is also an 8pm first tip and will air on ESPN. The 'if necessary' game time will be announced if the series is tied.
Clark averaged 3.4 points and 2 rebounds a game in her rookie season. Against the Lynx, Clark posted an average of four points and three rebounds during the four games.
Seattle posted a 16-18 regular season record, while Minnesota won the regular season series between the two teams, 3-1. The Lynx boasted a league-best 27-7 record en route to the top seed in the Western Conference.
Clark, a native of Mt. Juliet, played for MT during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons. She is the third Blue Raider to earn a roster spot on a WNBA team during the regular season.
