Former Raider Rick Cochran to appear on the Big Break
New series begins Tuesday night on the Golf Channel

Orlando, Fla. - Middle Tennessee is pleased to announce that former Blue Raider golfer Rick Cochran ('09) will compete on Golf Channel's Big Break, a popular reality series about golfer's trying to make the PGA Tour. The show will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. ET.
This season, Cochran and 11 other contestants will take part in several skills-related challenges on the four courses of the Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia—
The Old White TPC Course, the Greenbrier Course, the Meadows Course and the Snead Course.
During the show, one contestant will be eliminated each week and the last player standing will receive his Big Break: a chance to compete on the PGA TOUR at The Greenbrier Classic in July 2013.
Cochran, a native of Paducah, Ky., is a nephew of Champions Tour professional and 2011 Senior Open champion Russ Cochran. While at MT, Cochran was a participant in the 2008 NCAA Championships and was named to the 2007-28 Sun Belt Commissioner's List (3.5 grade point average or above). During Cochran's senior year, he finished 48th out of 75 at the 2009 NCAA Regional.
Big Break Greenbrier's contestants will reside in two deluxe, 3,000-square-foot timber-framed homes in The Greenbrier Sporting Club luxury residential community, located 3,300 feet atop Greenbrier Mountain.
