Davis and Lang advance to third round of qualifying at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - Middle Tennessee men's tennis junior Ben Davis and sophomore Christoph Lang advanced to the third round of the doubles qualifying draw at the ITA All-American Championships Tuesday in Tulsa, Okla.
The duo took on Isade Juneau and Sam Monette of Indiana on Tuesday afternoon. Davis and Lang trailed 4-5 before winning three straight games to take a 7-5 advantage. They then held serve for an 8-6 win. Davis and Lang will take on the team of Jordan Angus and Malte Stropp of Mississippi State on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day Tuesday, Davis advanced to the third round in the singles qualifying draw. He defeated Dominic Cotrone of Florida State 6-4, 6-3. Davis will take on Shane Vinsant of Texas A&M Wednesday.
The two Blue Raiders will play Wednesday for spots in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships, which begins Thursday.
