Men's basketball to hold first official practice

MURFREESOBORO, Tenn. - The Blue Raider men's basketball team will hold its first official practice of the 2012-13 campaign at 5 p.m. Friday in Murphy Center. Practice is open to the public.
Middle Tennessee is coming off arguably the best season in program history. The Blue Raiders won a school-record 27 games, including victories over UCLA, Ole Miss and Tennessee. MT took home the Sun Belt regular season title with a 14-2 record, also the best mark in program history.
Expectations are high as 10 of the top 12 scorers return from last season, including all-conference performers Marcos Knight and JT Sulton. The Blue Raiders open the season with an exhibition against Auburn-Montgomery Nov. 5 at 7 p.m., then the regular season begins against Alabama State Nov. 9 at 7:45 p.m. in Murphy Center.
Season tickets are on sale for $140, or fans can purchase a combination of men's and women's season tickets for $199. The men's season ticket package includes a ticket to the game versus Vanderbilt at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 21. Current season ticket holders and BRAA members may purchase additional tickets to the Vanderbilt game, while tickets for the general public will go on sale Dec. 1. Tickets are $50 for floor seats, $22 for the 100 and 200 levels and $10 for the 300 level.
