Blue Raiders return to links after three-week hiatus
October 14, 2012 · @MTAthleticsMURFREESBORO, Tenn. - After a three-week hiatus from action, Middle Tennessee women's golf resumes fall play at Oklahoma's Susie Maxwell Berning Classic at the par-72, 6,327-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Okla.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament tees off Monday morning and will feature 18 teams, including No. 14 Texas Tech, Kansas, TCU, No. 31 Texas State, Redlands Community College, Kansas State, No. 20 Notre Dame, USF, No. 33 Ohio State, New Mexico, No. 49 Coastal Carolina, Kent State, Tulsa, Kennesaw State, No. 37 SMU, No. 32 Denver and the hosting No. 13 Sooners.
The Blue Raiders finished tied for sixth in their last outing on Sept. 24-25 at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational, led by Olivia Love's 236 three-round total.
Ashley Haggard has paced MT throughout the season with a 76.22 stroke average. Her best finish came at the Chris Banister Classic where she tied for fourth after carding a 221, shooting a season-low 70 in the opening round of the tournament.
Live scoring is available this week's tournament by visiting golfstat.com. It will be the Blue Raiders' final fall tournament on the road, as they return home next week to host the Blue Raider Invitational at Old Fort Golf Club.
