Davis falls in quarterfinals of singles draw
October 22, 2012 · @MTAthleticsMEMPHIS - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team concluded its run in the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional on Monday morning.
Junior Ben Davis, the no. 9 seed in the men's draw, faced the no. 3 seed Gonzales Austin of Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals of the singles draw. For the second consecutive year, Davis saw his run in the regional end in the quarterfinal round as Austin won straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Davis had won five of his last six singles match going into Monday's play.
The Blue Raiders wrap up their fall schedule with the Crimson Tide Invite at the University of Alabama, beginning on November 2.
