Harley named TSWA Defensive Player of Week
Career-high 14 tackles vs North Texas
October 30, 2012 · @MTAthleticsNASHVILLE, Tenn. -Middle Tennessee's Jajuan Harley was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association defensive football player of the week for his efforts on October 27.
Harley helped the Blue Raiders to a 38-21 victory over North Texas, collecting 14 tackles and an interception against the Mean Green. The Tallahassee, Fla., native recorded his first interception of the season in the first quarter, setting up the first touchdown of the game for Middle Tennessee.
The redshirt junior set a season-high in tackles in the game and ranks third on the team with 53 stops this season. Harley has had eight or more tackles in a game four times this year.
Middle Tennessee heads to Western Kentucky this Thursday for an 8:15 p.m. contest that will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU.
