MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team begins its final tournament of the fall season on Friday as the Blue Raiders play in the Crimson Tide Fall Championships at the University of Alabama.
The tournament consists of four 16-player singles draws and two eight-team doubles draws. Play on Friday will consist of two rounds of doubles and one round of singles. On Saturday, there will be two rounds of singles and the final round of doubles. The tournament wraps up on Sunday with the final round of singles.
Sophomores Ettore Zito, Christoph Lang, Yannick Born, and Marlon Brand will play in the tournament for Middle Tennessee. Lang and Zito each reached the round of 32 at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Memphis two weeks ago. Zito enters the final tournament of the fall with an 8-2 singles record. Born and Brand reached the round of 16 in the doubles draw of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional and have won four of their last six doubles matches.
