Blue Raider Tennis claims four wins in last day of fall competition

Nagayma and Nomoto complete perfect weekend in singles action

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Middle Tennessee closed out the final day of fall competition with four victories at the SDSU Fall Classic on Sunday.

Flavia Nagayama won the Golf Draw bracket with a win over Kansas' Vika Khanevskaya, 1-6, 6-4, 7-6. Also, senior Yuiri Nomoto picked up a perfect weekend in singles action when she won in straight sets over Sarah Stelle, 6-3, 6-3.

Kansas' Claire Dreyer claimed a win over Blue Raider freshman Irina Constantinide (6-4, 7-6 (5-0)) to win the Gray draw. Nayara Moraes fell in a three-set battle to Jayhawk Paulina Los, 6-3, 4-6, 10-4.

In doubles action, the Raiders won both consolation finals matches. Constantinde and Nomoto claimed a win by default over Washington's Grace Ysidora/Cpucine Gregoire.

Moraes and Carla Nava won a tight 8-6 match over Khanevskaya/Anastasia Trubiuch from Kansas.

MT concluded the fall season with four strong tournaments and opens the 2013 spring season against Akron on Jan. 18.
