MURFREESBORO - Middle Tennessee junior linebacker Craig Allen, who was injured in yesterday's win over Troy, is improving according to head football athletic trainer Robbie Stewart.
Allen's symptoms have improved overnight and the doctors will continue to treat him with medication and reevaluate his injury throughout the day. Allen was admitted into Vanderbilt University Medical Center last night and will remain there for further observation. We will continue to provide updates on his status as they are provided.
Allen suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter when he tackled Troy running back Shawn Southward.
Allen, out of Carrollton, Ga., leads the Blue Raiders with a career-best 82 tackles this season.
