ESPN2 will air Middle Tennessee-WKU game on Jan. 26

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Blue Raider men's basketball team has been selected to play on ESPN2 versus WKU on Jan. 26 at Murphy Center as the Sun Belt's Wildcard Game. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. CT.

The Blue Raiders have garnered national attention this season with an 11-4 record, including wins over Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and UCF. MT has already made five appearances on the ESPN family of networks this season after making 15 appearances on national television last year, including 11 on the ESPN family. The Blue Raiders have three of their remaining games slated for ESPN3 and will also be featured in the Sun Belt Network game of the week at WKU in the regular-season finale on March 2.

Last year, the Blue Raiders played twice on ESPN2 in Murphy Center, earning a 68-60 win over UALR on Feb. 11 before falling to Minnesota, 78-72, in the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The last time MT and WKU met on ESPN2 was Jan. 23, 2010, when former Blue Raider Desmond "Boogie" Yates scored 28 points and became the school's all-time leading scorer in an 84-74 MT victory in Bowling Green, Ky.

Tickets for the Jan. 26 contest and all other MT home games are available by clicking here or calling the ticket office at 1-888-YES-MTSU. Fans ordering online have the option to select their seats and print their tickets at home. Fans are also encouraged to wear blue as part of the True Blue Game. The first 500 students will receive a free Blue Zoo t-shirt. 

MT has six games remaining before taking on WKU Jan. 26, including Saturday night's contest at South Alabama. Tipoff against the Jaguars is schedule for 7:05 p.m. CT.
