MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A 30-minute show recapping the 2001 Middle Tennessee Football Season will begin airing this weekend. A look back on the Blue Raiders' impressive 8-3 campaign will be shown four times over the next week and will reach over three million homes in the states of Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.

"I got a sneak preview of the show on Wednesday and it is super," head coach Andy McCollum said. "It covers our entire regimen from -Blue Dawn' to the end of the season and every Blue Raider fan should enjoy the show. I'll even give fans a fare warning that it might be a good idea to have a tape in the VCR ready to record it because it is something worth keeping."

This special addition to ESPN2's Sports Factory will air locally on ESPN2 this Saturday (Dec. 22) at 10:30 AM CST and again on ESPN2 on Dec. 29 at 10:30 AM CST. The ESPN2 airing will only be available to those who have Comcast cable in the middle Tennessee area.

The show will also be shown on Comcast Sports South (CSS) on Dec. 22 and Dec. 23. The Dec. 22 showing of the season recap airs at 5:30 PM CST, while the Sunday broadcast of the show will be on at 3 PM CST. The CSS version, which is channel 27 locally, will reach three million homes and eight different states.

Travis Porterfield produced "A Look Back at the 2001 Middle Tennessee Football Season" with narration and interviews handled by Blake Fulton. The entire show was done on campus with interviews from Andy McCollum, Boots Donnelly, Joe Wickline, Kevin Fouquier, Larry Fedora, and Steve Davis. Fulton also talked with players Wes Counts, Kendall Newson, Tanaka Scott, Tyrone Calico, and Dwone Hicks.

"As hot a program as Middle Tennessee is right now we felt this was something people would really enjoy," Fulton said. "Andy, his staff, and entire program is great to work with which made putting this together a lot of fun. This is a program that is making noise and I believe this is only the beginning. Fans should really enjoy this inside look to last year's phenomenal 8-3 season."
