Men's basketball continues to garner national attention
Blue Raiders rank No. 36 in NCAA RPI
January 22, 2013 · @MTAthleticsMURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Blue Raider men's basketball team continues to garner national attention, having won five games in a row and nine of the last 10.
After earning votes in the USA Today Coaches' Poll through the first four games this year, Middle Tennessee re-entered the ranks on Monday with a vote for the Top 25. Last season, the Blue Raiders received votes for 11 straight weeks in the coaches' poll.
MT has also maintained a solid RPI throughout the 2012-13 campaign, coming in at No. 36 this week according to the NCAA. The Bleacher Report has the Blue Raiders as the sixth-best among mid-majors nationally.
The Blue Raiders are 16-4 overall and 8-1 in the Sun Belt, currently sitting atop the conference. MT is also one of seven teams in the country with an 11-0 or better record at home.
