NEW ORLEANS - Middle Tennessee's Cordairo Golden earned his second Sun Belt Field Athlete of the Week nod this season, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Golden, a senior from Memphis, Tenn., broke the 50-foot mark for the first time this season in the men's triple jump. Golden jumped 50 feet, 0.75 inches (15.26m) to earn fifth place at the Rod McCravy Memorial last Saturday. Golden is now ranked No. 30 in the NCAA and first in the Sun Belt.
This is the fifth career SBC Athlete of the Week award for Golden. The Blue Raiders are home this weekend for the MT Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2.
