Baseball and softball to air on MT10 this season
30 live telecasts available this spring
February 12, 2013 · @MTAthleticsMURFREESBORO - The Blue Raider baseball and softball teams will combine for 30 live local television appearances this spring thanks to a partnership between the athletic department and Middle Tennessee's student-run cable television network, MT10.
The broadcast schedule kicks off this Friday with baseball's home opener against Ball State and includes 21 other baseball home games and eight home softball games.
"With a new coaching staff at the helm of both programs this season, this broadcast package will give the community a glimpse of what the future has in store for our spring sports," said Director of Athletics Chris Massaro. "We're constantly seeking ways to showcase our student-athletes, and I think that when people see the teams and the competitiveness of our games, it will be that much easier to get them out to the ballpark in person."
In addition to the television coverage, all home baseball and softball games will be streamed live for online viewing through GoBlueRaiders.com.
MT10 is Middle Tennessee's non-profit, student-led campus television station, providing original programming and a local evening newscast. MT10 is available on-campus and throughout Rutherford County on Comcast channel 10. Electronic Media Communication major Jeremy Ball currently serves as the station's general manager.
