Middle Tennessee concludes tournament play this weekend at the Chanticleer Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The tournament is hosted by Coastal Carolina. MT will play James Madison and Georgetown at 10 a.m. and Noon, respectively on March 8. The Blue Raiders will face JMU and Coastal Carolina at Noon and 2:30 p.m. on March 9, and close out the tourney with a single-game on March 10 at Noon against CCU.
Last time out
The Blue Raiders won their first game of the season, a 7-5 victory over Troy in Game 1 of a doubleheader on March 6. They fell, 5-0 in Game 2. Additionally, Head Coach Jeff Breeden picked up his first career collegiate victory, and Katie Brown hit her first collegiate home run.
Middle Tennessee holds a lead in every series this weekend, but it has never met James Madison. The Blue Raiders defeated Georgetown, 8-0, in 2008 in the lone series match-up, and lead Coastal Carolina, 7-2. They last faced CCU in 2002, an 11-0 victory for MT.
