MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee closed out its tournament play with a 2-0 loss to Coastal Carolina at the Chanticleer on Sunday.

MT drops to 1-19 on the season, while CCU is now 13-11.

Jordyn Fisherback took the loss, dropping to 1-9 on the season, but allowed just three hits and only one earned run.  Additionally, she struck out five CCU batters.

MT managed just three hits as a team, as Kristi Marquez and Samantha Nieves finished 1-for-3, while Chelsea Good was 1-for-1 as a pinch hitter.

Coastal Carolina had one hit and an error to push its only runs across in the fourth, using its defense to stifle the Blue Raiders and limit opportunities.

The Blue Raiders left five runners on base while the Chanticleers left six.

Middle Tennessee will return home this week for a match-up on Wednesday, March 13 against Auburn at 2 p.m.  The Blue Raiders will then face Eastern Kentucky in a doubleheader on March 14, beginning at 1 p.m.
