Softball hosts non-conference home games

This week's action
Middle Tennessee will host three games this week, beginning with a single-game against Auburn on March 3. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. The squad will then have a doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky on Thursday, March 14, beginning at 1 p.m. MT will travel south to Miami, Fla., this weekend for a three-game series against FIU, March 16-17.

Last time out
The Blue Raiders dropped five games in their final spring tournament of 2013. They fell twice to James Madison and Coastal Carolina, and once to Georgetown at the Chanticleer Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Series' history
Middle Tennessee trails 11-2 in the series history against Auburn, having dropped a 7-3 game earlier this season at the War Eagle Classic, hosted by the Tigers. Against Eastern Kentucky, MT has won 23 of the 33 match-ups, but the teams have not met since 2003, when EKU defeated the Blue Raiders twice, 4-3 and 7-3.
