MURFREESBORO - Middle Tennessee opened play at the Memphis Intercollegiate on Monday for the 54-hole event at the Colonial Country Club. The par 72 course is playing 7,334 yards.
The Blue Raiders shot a 321 on the very difficult course in less than ideal weather conditions to tie for 14th. Temperatures were in the 30s with winds at 30 miles per hour most of the day with spitting snow.
The first day was scheduled for 36 holes but the second round was suspended due to darkness after a one-hour delay to begin the tournament due to cold weather. The second round will be completed Tuesday morning and the third round will begin immediately after the completion of round two.
