Jennings has second straight under par round

MADISON, Miss. - Middle Tennessee shot a final round 294 on Tuesday to finish sixth at the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate. The Blue Raiders finished with an 884 total at the Reunion Golf and Country Club (par 72, 7,305 yards).

Mississippi State won the event with a 54-hole score of 846 while Central Arkansas finished second with an 861. Southeastern Louisiana had an 864 for third and Chattanooga was one shot back in fourth. Southern Miss completed the top five withan 882, just two shots better than the Blue Raiders.

"I am proud of the way our guys fought all week," said Head Coach Whit Turnbow. "We gained a little momentum this week now we need to build on that next week and have it peak for the Sun Belt Championships."

Payne Denman finished with a 218 total after a final round 75 to place 13th to lead the Blue Raiders.

Jordan Jennings carded his second straight 71 to tie for 14th. Jennings, who had a 219 total, had four birdies on his round Tuesday to record his best finish of the year.

Sam Thompson registered a 73 in his final round to tie for 34th. Thompson had a 225 total and collected three birdies on Tuesday.

Andrew Cho tied for 45th with a 227, while Lucas Armstrong turned in a 229 to tie for 54th.

The Blue Raiders will play their final match before the SBC Championships on April 8-9 at the Old Waverly Intercollegiate in West Point, Miss.
