MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee held an early lead, but couldn't withstand WKU's offensive onslaught as the Blue Raiders fell, 6-1, to their Sun Belt Conference rival on Wednesday evening.

MT (4-30, 1-10 SBC) had just four hits in the game while WKU (20-11, 9-3 SBC) racked up11.

Kayla Toney, Nina Dever and Samantha Nieves were each 1-for-3 in the game, while Katie Brown was 1-for-2.

Early in the game, the Blue Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third, when Toney blasted her third home run of the season, just clearing the left field foul pole.

From there, however, it was all WKU as they scored two runs in the fourth, fifth and six innings for a total of six unanswered to clinch the win.
