Blue Raiders set for final regular-season tournament

MT to play in UNCW Seahawk Classic this weekend

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team heads to its final regular-season tournament this weekend at the UNCW Seahawk Classic in Wallace, N.C. The tournament opens Saturday with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. ET at River Landing Country Club.

The field consists of 14 teams, including Bucknell, Delaware, Elon, Georgia State, Longwood, Middle Tennessee, Morehead State, Navy, Old Dominion, Princeton, Richmond, South Alabama, UNC Greensboro and UNC Wilmington.

The teams will play 36 holes the first day and conclude on Sunday with the final 18 on the par-72, 6,106-yard course.

The Blue Raiders finished second in their last outing at the UALR Classic March 25-26. Middle Tennessee rallied from fifth after the first round, knocking 20 strokes off the team score in the second round to finish with a team score of 938 (324-304-310), just one stroke behind tournament champion Sam Houston State.

Allie Knight paced the Blue Raiders with a final score of 232 (80-76-76, +16) as she finished tied for seventh. Olivia Love finished just three strokes behind at 235 (81-74-80, +19), tied for 10th.

This marks the final tournament before the Sun Belt Championship in Muscle Shoals, Ala., April 15-17.
