Day One Results

WALLACE, N.C. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team sits eighth after day one at the UNCW Seahawk Classic at River Landing Country Club.

Two Blue Raiders currently rank among the top 10 in the individual standings. Allie Knight carded a 78 in the first round, then dropped five strokes from her score with a 73 in the second round to finish the day in ninth with a 36-hole total of 151. She is just five strokes off the leader, UNCG's Fanny Cnops with a 146.

Avery George is one stroke behind Knight, tied for 10th with a 152 after registering back-to-back rounds of 76.

The duo led MT to a 36-hole total of 628 (317-311) through the first two rounds, 15 strokes behind leader UNCW with a 613. Old Dominion and UNCG are tied for second with a 616.

Olivia Love finished the day with a 161 (81-80) to tie for 40th, and Natalie Chrisopulos is tied for 50th after recording a 164 (82-82). Ashley Haggard rounded out the scoring with a 166 (84-82).

Emily Miller played as an individual and also shot a 166 (83-83).

The tournament concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes. The shotgun start is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. ET.
