Caitlin McClure (1-11) gave up six runs (five earned) in 4.1 innings, taking the loss. Shelby Stinnett threw the final two outs of the fifth, allowing two runs on three hits.

USA took a 1-0 lead in the second, and tacked on seven more through the fourth and fifth to put the game away.

Down to their last chance in the bottom of the fifth, the Blue Raiders put runners on first and second, but grounded into a double play to end the game.

MT will travel to Evansville, Ill., on April 10 for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
