MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The No. 45-ranked Middle Tennessee Men's Tennis squad heads for Orlando, Fla., this weekend as they take on UCF and USF this Friday and Saturday, April 12-13.

The Blue Raiders will take on the Knights at 2 p.m. on Friday, and the Bulls on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Both matches will be played at the UCF Tennis Complex.

"This trip to Florida is always tough," head coach Jimmy Borendame said. "Traditionally, these two programs are very strong, and both teams appear to be substantially improved from last year."

MT (17-6) is sporting a six-match winning streak as they head for the Sunshine State. The team last played on Saturday, defeating Southern Miss, 4-3, and Morehead State, 5-0.

UCF (10-7) has won five of its last six, led by Flight 1 singles player Jorge Blasco. He is 11-6 on the season, and was All-Conference USA Second Team in 2012.

For USF (8-9), the team has won just two of its last six, but defeated MT's Sun Belt foe South Alabama, 4-3, earlier this year.

"We are looking forward this weekend, as they will be two tough matches for us to get ready for the Sun Belt Championships," Borendame said.

MT has finished its home schedule, and will compete next at the Sun Belt Championships in Lafayette, La., April 18-20.
