MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee travels to Lafayette, La., this weekend for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series with Louisiana, April 13-14.

Game 1 will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, with the second contest approximately 30 minutes after. The finale will be a single-game on Sunday, April 14 at Noon.

Last time out, the Blue Raiders (5-34, 1-13 SBC) split with Evansville in a mid-week non-conference doubleheader. They picked up a 3-2 win in Game 1 before falling, 7-0, in the second contest.

Middle Tennessee has found limited success against the Ragin' Cajuns (27-11, 8-4 SBC), winning just three out of the 47 matchups in the series' history. MT is currently on a 10-game losing streak in the series.

Louisiana's potent offense is led by Nerissa Myers, who is hitting .436 on the year, while Sarah Draheim (.415 average) is leading the team with 10 home runs.

Just two pitchers make up the Ragin' Cajuns staff, though each holds an impressive ERA.  Jordan Wallace is the staff ace, having thrown 132.1 innings and allowing just 39 runs (2.06 ERA).  She has struck out 193 as well, an average of 1.46 strikeouts per inning.

For the Blue Raiders, Laura Dukes leads the team with a .280 average, but Nina Dever has been a force to be reckoned with over the past 10 games - starting all of them and leading the team with a .387 batting average in that span. Her 12 hits are five more than any teammate, and she has slugged .548 (two doubles, one home run). Additionally, the junior has a .966 fielding percentage with a .406 on-base percentage.

MT continues its road trip with a single game against UT-Martin next Tuesday before returning home for a three-game series with North Texas, featuring an Alumni Day and Senior Day.
