ORLANDO, Fla. - Fresh off a comeback victory over UCF, Middle Tennessee's men's tennis squad dropped a 4-3 heart breaker against USF on Saturday afternoon.

MT (18-7) lost the doubles point, which proved the fatal blow against the Bulls.

In Flight 1 doubles, Ben Davis and Victor Cornea fell, 6-8, to Oliver Pramming and Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz.  The Bulls followed up that with another 8-6 victory, as Juan Carlos Acuna Gerard and Frederico Sabogal won, 8-6, over Yannick Born and Marlon Brand.

From there, Ben Davis, Ettore Zito and David Fox would win their singles bouts, but it wasn't enough.

Davis defeated Pramming, 6-4, 7-6 (6-3) in Flight 1 singles, while Zito knocked off Ravi Patel, 7-6, 6-3, in Flight 3.

The Blue Raiders final point of the day came from Fox, who topped Sabogal in No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-3.

Cornea, Born and Dimitri Pippos dropped their singles bouts, sealing the Blue Raiders' fate.

With the regular season now complete, MT will travel to Lafayette, La., next weekend for the Sun Belt Championships, April 18-20.
