MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Blue Raider softball team had just three hits in the series finale with North Texas, falling 10-2 in six innings to the Mean Green on Sunday afternoon.

MT (5-42, 1-19 SBC) was doomed by four errors on the day, while NT (22-20, 9-9 SBC) totaled 15 hits.

MT trailed 3-0 after the top of the first, but stayed close until the fifth when the Mean Green scored another run.

After racking up just one hit over the first fiving innings, Dever finally broke out with a 2-run blast with two outs in the fifth. Katie Brown worked a walk with two outs in the inning before Dever drove a pitch high over the left field wall.

Those two runs, however, was all the offense MT could muster as they allowed six runs in the top of the six to fall behind by eight.

Lindsey Fenner and Ashley Stassin reached base safely to start the bottom of the sixth, but three straight outs ended the game early.

MT is on the road tomorrow as it battles Mississippi State in a neutral site game, held in Irondale, Ala., at 6 p.m.
