IRVING, Texas. - Sophomore Tori Hawkins of the Middle Tennessee soccer team (3-3-2) was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.

This marks the first conference weekly honor for Hawkins in her career and first for the Blue Raiders in the C-USA era. The accolade comes after MT rolled over Alabama A&M 8-0 Sept. 20 for the team's third-straight shutout victory and fifth on the year.

Hawkins led the Blue Raider offense against the Bulldogs, tallying five points in MT's only contest of the week. She had a hand in four of the Blue Raiders' eight goals, netting one and dishing out three assists.

During the third minute, Hawkins found Rachael Figg in the box to record her first assists of the contest as Figg netted what would prove to be the game-winner. Hawkins returned to limelight in the 28th minute, recording her second goal on the year with help from Amalie Anderdal.

Hawkins wasn't done yet though as she proceeded to dish out two more assists, amassing three on the night. She leads the Blue Raiders with four assists on the year and is tied for third in the C-USA.

Hawkins and the rest of the Blue Raiders return to action Friday, Sept. 27, hosting UAB at 7 p.m. to open Conference USA play.
