MT set for Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team is set to compete in the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate Oct. 7-8 hosted by East Carolina at the Greenville Country Club.
The tournament will start Monday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. The first day will consist of 36 holes, while the event will conclude Tuesday with one round of 18. The Greenville Country Club course is 6,004 yards long and is a par 72.
The Blue Raiders will be competing against 15 other teams in Appalachian State, Boston College, Chattanooga, host East Carolina, ETSU, Elon, Georgia State, James Madison, Longwood, Maryland, UNC Wilmington, Old Dominion, Penn State, William & Mary and Winthrop.
Middle Tennessee finished second at the FedEx Memphis Intercollegiate Sept. 9 and fifth at the Cardinal Cup Sept. 17. Through six rounds this season, MT has a stroke average of 74.7.
MT will sport a familiar line up at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, taking the same five from the first two fall tournaments this season. Freshman Samantha Gotcher leads the Blue Raiders this season with an average of 74.7, while Emily Miller is second on the team with a 75.0.
In her sophomore campaign, Avery George is posting a stroke average of 75.7, while Emily Williams is just behind her, averaging 76.0. Through the first two tournaments this fall, junior Allie Knight has recorded a stroke average of 76.8.
