LOUSIVILLE, Ky. - Middle Tennessee completed the 2013 Greater Louisville Classic, but not without some bumps along the way Saturday morning. The Blue Raider men only finished four of its five runners as senior Keith Davis, making his first appearance in 2013 was hampered by an injury and could not complete the 8K race. The women were more fortunate having all eight runners cross the finish line for a 14th place finish out of 20 teams.

The men's team was led by a 21st place finish by Eliud Rutto, who ran the 8K event in 25:24.99, his best 8K time of 2013. Next MT runner to cross the finish line was Shadrack Matelong, placing 31st with a time of 25:34.23.

Silas Taiget was the third-best finisher for Middle Tennessee, concluding the race in 25:46.72 for 44th, while Alden Dixon finished 55th with a time of 25:55.57.

Less than 31 seconds separated MT's top finisher from its fourth runner to cross the finish line.

On the women's side, Lucy Kapkiai took home her best finish and time of 2013, placing 13th with a time of 17:49.53. Jackline Kiprono finished 36th with a time of 18:16.19, beating her previous best of 18:30.58 at the Commodore Classic.

Autumn Gipson turned in a time of 19:03.67 for 87th place, while Julia Kitevski finished 105th with a time of 19:20.79. Tressanique Hampton was the last MT runner to post a time under 20 minutes, running the 5K in 19:37.37 for 120th.
