Conference USA Volleyball Championship to begin Nov. 21 at Middle Tennessee

Thursday marks one week until start of four-day event at Alumni Memorial Gym

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The 2013 Conference USA Volleyball Championship comes to Alumni Memorial Gym, Thursday, Nov. 21-24, with a 12-team field battling in Murfreesboro for an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.

All-session passes for the four-day event are priced at $20 for adults and $10 for ages 3-12. Daily tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 3-12. Children aged two and under are admitted free. Students currently attending Conference USA institutions are admitted free with their university-issued ID.

Tickets can be purchased Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Middle Tennessee ticket office, located at Gate 1A of Floyd Stadium on Faulkinberry Drive. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the ticket office during business hours at (615) 898-5261.

The four-day championship tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 21 with the four first-round matchups of the No. 5-12 seeds in the 12-team championship, with the first match beginning at noon. Friday will also feature four matches and begin at noon, as the No. 1-4 seeds will face the teams advancing from the opening round when they square off in quarterfinal action.

Saturday's semifinal action will begin at 3:00 p.m., with the winners meeting in the championship on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1:00 p.m., for the automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament. Sunday's championship match will be broadcast nationwide on CBS Sports Network.

The final bracket and participating teams will be released Sunday evening, following the conclusion of the final day of the regular season. All matches will be played at Alumni Memorial Gym. For more information, visit the Conference USA Tournament Central page listed above.
