MURFREESBORO - Middle Tennessee quarterback Logan Kilgore was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.
Kilgore led the Blue Raiders to a stunning 51-49 win over Marshall on national television Thursday night by throwing for 277 yards on 22 completions and four touchdowns.
The Rocklin, CA, native saved his best for last by taking the Blue Raiders 79 yards on 13 plays in the final 2:29 for the victory. Kilgore took the snap with three seconds remaining and found Tavarres Jefferson a yard deep in the end zone for the winning score as time ran out.
The redshirt senior also recorded the 18th 200-yard passing game of his career to tie the school record held by Wes Counts and Clint Marks. His four touchdown passes also moved him closer the school mark of 50 held by Counts. Kilgore now has 47 scoring passes for his career.
This is the second offensive player of the week honor for Kilgore as he was also presented that honor on October 29, 2012.
