MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - With the 2013-14 season just around the corner, the Middle Tennessee men's basketball team will be giving fans a closer look at some of those suiting up in Blue and White this season.

The Blue Raiders are fresh off a successful 2012-13 campaign that saw Middle Tennessee post a program-best 28-6 overall mark and a school record 19-1 in conference play, after winning the Sun Belt Conference regular season championship for the second-straight year.

The Blue Raiders are looking forward to the possibility of breaking more records in 2013-2014 as they return eight players from last year's squad that reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1989 and seventh time in program history.

Among those returning for MT this season is senior Neiko Hunter. The 6-7 forward sat down to discuss the upcoming season and to give fans an inside scoop on one of their favorite Blue Raiders.

How have practices fared so far and what is the team working on as a whole?
"Practice is going well so far. We've mainly been working on developing our defense for this season."

How is this team different from last year's team?
"Last year's team was very competitive during practices and that competitiveness helped us when we were on the court last season. I think that we as a team need to work on developing our competitive nature, so that we can be successful like we were last season."

As a senior, do you feel greater responsibility as a leader?
"Definitely, but stepping up as a leader is nothing new. I've been looked at as a leader for my whole life, so leading the younger team members is really nothing new."

What are you looking forward to most this season?
"I'm looking forward to the possibility of going to the NCAA tournament this year."

What is your favorite cartoon?
"Tom and Jerry. I love classic cartoons."

If you could go to dinner with any celebrity, who would you go to dinner with?
"President Obama."

Who is your basketball role model?
"Tracy McGrady because I love his game and how he operates on the court."
