Raiders continue play at Louisville Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team continued play Saturday in the second day of action at the Louisville Invitational.
In singles competition, freshman Aaron Jumonville won two matches in the Flight A consolation bracket, downing Illinois State's Muddappa Appanveranda in an injury-shortened match (6-0, 2-1) before beating Longwood's Daniel Elston (3-6, 7-5, 6-3) to advance to the consolation bracket final against Illinois State's Rolando Torrellas on Sunday.
Junior Ettore Zito won his first match of the day against Purdue's Lucas Dages (6-1, 6-1), before falling to Kentucky's Ryuji Hirooka (6-4, 3-6, 6-4). Junior Yannick Born was defeated in his lone singles match of the day, falling to Kentucky's Maks Gold (6-4, 6-4).
Zito and Born squared off with the Kentucky pair of Hirooka and Nils Ellefsen in doubles action, losing 8-5.
The Blue Raiders return to action in Louisville on Sunday.
