Lady Raiders Make it Two in a Row with Win over UALR
January 26, 2002 · MT Media RelationsFreshman Patrice Holmes and senior Jamie Thomatis exploded for 20 plus points to lead the Lady Raiders to their second Sun Belt Conference win in a row. Holmes led all scorers with 23 points and had four steals. Thomatis again waited to make her presence known in the second half as she scored 16 points in the second half for a total of 20 points.
"Jamie and Patrice are special players," said Lady Raider head coach Stephany Smith. "It's nice to have those two come around with the big numbers when you need them."
Middle Tennessee pulled ahead in a big way when a foul was called and then was followed by three technical fouls on UALR. The Lady Raiders went 7-8 at the charity stripe to balloon the lead.
On Tuesday January 29, the Lady Raiders return home to host Morris Brown College. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
