Rowe garners C-USA Player of the Week accolades

Also earns third TSWA Player of the Week honors

IRVING, Texas - Middle Tennessee's Ebony Rowe was tabbed the Conference USA Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Rowe averaged 24.7 points and 11.7 rebounds in MT's victories over UCF, USF and South Dakota State last week.

The senior forward opened the week with 20 points and 11 rebounds in MT's 63-51 victory at UCF. Rowe followed up that performance with a critical 25 points and 11 rebounds as Middle Tennessee knocked off the USF Bulls, 68-62, in Tampa. Rowe closed out the weekend by matching her season-high with 29 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, as the Raiders won their eighth straight with a 59-44 win over South Dakota State. Rowe shot 68 percent from the field, knocking down 11-of-16 shots.

Rowe dished out eight assists and shot 55.1 percent (27-of-49) from the field on the weekend. She also moved into third all-time with 1,997 points on Saturday. Rowe's 11 makes against SDSU moved her to second all-time with 784 career field goals made. Rowe leads the Blue Raiders 23.2 points and 11.6 rebounds per game.

The Lexington, Ky., product has nine double-doubles in 12 games and a school-best 62 in her career. Her nine double-doubles this season ranks second nationally. She has scored double-figures in 18 consecutive games and 105 times in her four-year career. Rowe has now collected two C-USA Players of the Week honors (Dec. 2). The honor is her 13th weekly conference accolade, surpassing Alysha Clark's 12 for the most in school history.

Also on Monday, Rowe was tabbed the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Player of the Week for the third time this season and the 10th of her career. Rowe also earned the accolade on Dec. 3 and Dec. 10.

Middle Tennessee returns to action next Sunday, Dec. 29 in a 1 p.m. CT contest at Clemson.
