SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team was ranked No. 50 in the nation in the preseason ITA poll, as announced by the ITA office.

Sophomore David Fox also found himself ranked in both the national singles and doubles rankings as he prepares for his second spring season as a Blue Raider. The native of the United Kingdom is ranked No. 98 in the nation in singles competition, while he teams up with fellow sophomore Victor Cornea for the No. 22 doubles ranking in the nation.

"I am proud of David and Victor for achieving these rankings," said head men's tennis coach Jimmy Borendame. "Both put in a lot of work this summer and fall. I think they are only scratching the surface of what they can do in singles and doubles and I look for them to have more big wins this spring."

The Blue Raiders open the season Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. when MT hosts Chattanooga at Nashboro Village. Middle Tennessee will face 12 teams ranked in the ITA preseason top-75 prior to the Conference USA Championships in Tulsa, Okla., Apr. 17-20.
