KeKe Stewart named TSWA Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's KeKe Stewart garnered Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) on Tuesday after setting school and Conference USA single-game records with 11 3-pointers in a victory last week for the Blue Raiders.
The senior center hit 11-of-26 attempts from behind the arc versus North Texas, tying the NCAA record for most attempts in a game as well. She finished with 35 points and seven rebounds in the contest. The Oak Ridge, Tenn., native added 12 points and six boards at Louisiana Tech as well, hitting two more trifectas.
She is averaging 10.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game and leads the club with 29 made 3-pointers this season. The TSWA honor was the first for Stewart in her career.
The Blue Raiders host UTEP on Wednesday, Jan. 15 and travel to UAB on Saturday, Jan. 18.
