No. 25 Blue Raiders tabbed NCAA Team of the Week

Middle Tennessee has won 16 straight games

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No. 25 Middle Tennessee was tabbed the NCAA Women's Basketball team of the week as announced on Twitter by @NCAAWomensBKB on Wednesday.

The Blue Raiders (17-3, 6-0 Conference USA) have put together a 16-game win streak, which is tied for fourth nationally and is the fourth longest in program history. Earlier this week, the Blue Raiders entered the Associated Press Top 25 poll at No. 25 for the first time since Nov. 16, 2009.

MT is led by senior Ebony Rowe, who became the school's all-time scoring leader last week with her 17 points against Old Dominon. The forward has 2,158 points in her career and currently thanks in the NCAA's Top 20 in points and rebounds.

The Blue Raiders' game with Southern Miss in Hattiesburg originally scheduled for Jan. 29 has been moved to Feb. 5 due to inclement weather. MT's next contest will be at Tulsa on Saturday, Feb. 1. Tip-off with the Golden Hurricane is set for 12:30 p.m.
